GreenOK “Natural Wood Ash” contains natural calcium carbonate (CaCO3) – 24%, calcium (Ca) – 7%, potassium oxide (K2O) — 2%, magnesium (Mg) – 1%, thus can be used as plant fertiliser.
Powdering plants with GreenOK “Natural Wood Ash” will decrease amount of fungus; fend off slugs and insects. Wood ash is one of the oldest fertilising tricks in the book – time tested, and proven by science.
WARNING
- Do not use GreenOK “Natural Wood Ash” or mix with nitrogen fertilisers, including but not limited to: ammonium sulfate; urea; ammonium nitrate etc. Nitrogen fertilisers placed in contact with wood ash (high pH material) will produce ammonia gas (poisonous)
- Use protective equipment including eye protection, gloves, long sleeves and a dust mask, as wood ash and other liming materials are caustic, thus irritating to eyes, skin and respiratory tract
- Exceeding recommended guidelines may result in harm to plants
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store in a dry place in unopened packaging
Recommended Application*
Liming material: spread and incorporate into the topsoil in dry form 1kg/10m2 or mixed with water 250-300ml/10L (mix and leave for 10 hours, before use). It is recommended to use liming materials in spring or autumn.
Fertiliser:
-
- for fruit trees, vegetables and other garden plants 100-150 ml/m2 ash is incorporated into the soil;
- cherries, plums, grapes 50-100 ml/plant ash is incorporated in the planting pit during planting (for adult fruit trees use an average of 2L ash per 1 plant);
- incorporate into the soil when planting cucumbers, zucchinis, aubergines, tomatoes, peppers, squash and root vegetables (1-3 teaspoons).
